New automatic UTF-8 detection

October 16th, 2013 Today we released Troi URL Plug-in 3.5, which adds automatic UTF-8 detection. The plug-in will now show UTF-8 encoded results from the Post and Get functions correctly in FileMaker Pro. We also added a new function to set the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret for an OAuth authorization, so you can now interact with web services that require OAuth authentication.

With Troi URL Plug-in 3.5 you can still retrieve web pages, images and fill in HTTP forms all from FileMaker Pro.

Troi URL Plug-in 3.5 further improves compatibility with FileMaker Pro 12. We have supplied a new example file that shows how you can let Troi URL Plug-in talk to a web service with OAuth authentication and we improved the existing GetPage and FillForm example files to prevent problems stemming from malformed URLs.

Troi URL Plug-in 3.5 also makes it very easy to work with a Twitter account and post tweets! We have improved the Twitter example file and updated it to use the new Twitter REST API v1.1.
