Address Book Manipulator – FileMaker Pro to OSX Contacts
Productive computing has released a nice Mac plugin that synchs data between Contacts (the Mac system OS address book) and FileMaker. Address Book Manipulator provides external functions that you can program into a script to initiate contact, transfer data, check for error codes, and process the data. This may sound hard, but once set up and functioning, it is straightforward and painless for the user:
If you want to eliminate double entry between Machintosh’s Address Book/Contacts and FileMaker® then this is the plug-in for you. This Macintosh plug-in provides a bi-directional data exchange between FileMaker Pro and Apple’s Address Book or Contacts using nothing more than FileMaker script steps. The Address Book Manipulator can exchange data dynamically in a “one-to-many” format which handles group and individual contacts, multiple addresses, phone numbers and e-mails. Use of this plug-in eliminates double entry.KEY FEATURES:

One more thing: My experience with Productive Computing’s tech support last week was outstanding. Paul was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with, making the experience quick and painless. Quite a bit better than what I normally encounter.
