FileMaker Virtual Script Triggers
TODD GEIST OF GEIST INTERACTIVE (and ModularFileMaker.org) takes modular code to another level: Virtual Script Triggers:
Virtual FileMaker Script Triggers fire when a script reaches a point that you define. This lets you create scripts and features that are more portable and extendable. It fits in really well with the ModularFileMaker.org philosophy.
The steps to running a virtual script trigger are:
- Assign an object on a layout a name
- Assign a script trigger to that object
- Trigger that script trigger by using the Go to Object script step
You can also send parameters and grab script results. There is much more, including an example file and a video, at the link.
