New: Free FileMaker Templates
FileMaker, Inc. has released new, more advanced templates
There are three new free templates in the first batch:
- Job Tracking
- Event Management
- Memberships
All three free templates incorporate more features than the standard FileMaker templates included with FileMaker Pro Client.
There are also build on tutorials you can download along with videos to help beginning, intermediate and even some advanced developers with tips and techniques. If you want to know more about what went into making these templates, check out this post from Soliant Consulting:

Are You Being Manipulated?
A great, short read from Seth Godin on the forces of manipulation and how to combat it when happens to you:
Pundits, politicians, hustlers, unethical marketers, hucksters and grifters seek to manipulate people every day.
Manipulation is pushing for a change that benefits the manipulator, not us. It’s often based on misinformation. Mostly, the test for manipulation is: “if you knew what they know, would you be happy to do what they’re asking?”
Godin lists 5 questions you to ask to help filter out the nonsense. It’s well worth the read.
