FM 15 represents all I was asking for:
– no (or let’s say a few) new Features
– almost all major Bugs fixed
– great performance improvement
– stable and reliable
As a developer, do yourself a favor and get your FMPA 15 release right away 🙂
For FBA, honestly, I don’t see much selling-propositions for my customers to update from FM14 to FM 15

I’m mixed on the issue. I’ve been using FM 15 for over a month, and it has been stable. Most of the new features are not really a necessity. I am not using 15 server yet. The licensing issues concern me (one license, one customer. Seems to make renting server space in the cloud a real problem).
I never recommend to any client to upgrade immediately unless they insist on being on the bleeding edge. And since most clients crave reliability over most new features, they usually don’t upgrade right away.
Doing an annual release sounded good at first glance, but the logistics for moving our clients so frequently is a problem. And FileMaker is keeps raising the costs in different ways (concurrent licensing, server restrictions, etc.). I’m not convinced they are on the right track.

I’ve been told that you can choose between the old AND the new “Licensing for Teams” licensing model.
There are also a free FMPro licenses included with “Team Licensing” which is restricted to for-Server-Connection-only, AFAIK.
Isn’t it?
Doing an annual release sounds like a marketing-driven strategy in order to gain revenues first. It’s not what I’ld call sustainability. I still demand that PM’s should take responsibility and should therefor have given the right to veto the date of product launch if too many bugs stay unresolved.
This “FileMaker 12 Disaster” must never ever happen again!
